The TARGA 40 version 2024 arrives in France

Following the real success encountered by the Targa 38 during its launch in 2006 - and which also became FAIRLINE's best seller in its first year, with nearly 300 units produced in 10 years - it is now clear that the Targa model of FAIRLINE Yachts is highly appreciated and demanded, as it adapts to all needs on board.
Thanks to its electric sunroof and its vast sun loungers, the Targa version has been created to impress and highlight the sophistication of its design. This is why a FAIRLINE Targa owner will always be envied!

Modernized design & deck plan

The Targa 40 stands out with its open cockpit and a rigid roof with a canvas section which opens onto the entire main deck. To stay in the FAIRLINE spirit, we find the sporty lines and large glazing which follow the shape of the yacht in order to make the interior bright, warm and giving way to a breathtaking view of the water.

FAIRLINE's lead concept designer, Christian Gott, insisted on the popularity of the Targa 38 which is appreciated for its sporty lines which we find on the new version of the Targa 40. With a touch of modernity in terms of design and technologies, the Targa 40 is the improved version of this much-loved model. It is for all these reasons that the FAIRLINE Yachts team is looking forward to being able to present this brand new Targa model to fans of the English brand in January 2024.

The Targa 40 2024 has been designed while preserving the optimization of space on board and has a beach club balcony to starboard. Two deckchairs with floating backs can be transformed into sofas for remarkable space optimization while preserving this unique design.

The lounge area, which also serves as a dining room, has been designed in a C shape to benefit from a friendly space on board protected and also has an additional bench seat on the port side. A bar is set up behind the two individual pilot seats.

Outside, on the foredeck of the Targa 40, we find large and wide sun loungers as well as a sofa arranged towards the front at the bow, both allowing passengers to enjoy the view even during navigation.

The Targa 40 also has a garage that can hold an annex up to 2.7m with an electric outboard motor, a feat for a boat of this size!

A luxurious interior, signature of FAIRLINE

To sleep on board, the 40-footer from FAIRLINE Yachts offers four berths divided into two cabins. The lower deck recalls the refined furniture and sleek design of the main deck. The large master cabin is accessible at the front with a headroom of 1.98 m for maximum comfort and space, as well as direct access to the bathroom thanks to a double door. In the middle of the boat we find the guest cabin offering two single beds that can be transformed into a double bed with the possibility of sliding them.

FAIRLINE Yachts Sales Director, James Powell, specifies that the new 2024 Targa 40 is a crucial step in the development of the FAIRLINE Yachts range and follows the arrival of the Squadron 58 presented at the Southampton Boat Show during the month of September 2023. By offering new models, FAIRLINE is evolving its range and the Targa 40 is thus the possibility for many boaters to access the brand's famous Targa range.

Performance and technology

In terms of engine, there will be the choice between two Diesel versions: 2 x Volvo Penta D6-340 (680HP) or 2 x D6-380 (760HP), which according to FAIRLINE, should allow respective speeds of 32 and 36 knots.

The dashboard is very well thought out thanks to its good proportion and the vision of all the equipment necessary for navigation for optimal ergonomics, a trademark of the FAIRLINE brand on the technological aspect.

Indeed, on this model of the Targa range we find the latest touch screens from the Garmin brand: 12 or 16 inch GPS handset with Full HD IPS touch screen for a most comfortable experience at sea for the captain. This is due to an intuitive interface, allowing easy control of all the systems necessary for navigation.

In addition to the now classic options such as the bow thruster, the joystick or even the trim tabs (Humphree® Interceptors), the Targa 40 allows the installation of options previously reserved for larger units:

  • Seakeeper® 4 Gyro Stabilizer: Revolutionizing roll reduction performance on 38-44 foot boats with smaller, lighter hardware.
  • Garmin® Surround View Camera: system that eliminates blind spots by displaying real-time video, from above, thanks to the six installed cameras. The most complex maneuvers are thus made easier, you have 360 degree visibility around the boat.
